This week's list of five nominees is made up of athletes from three sports: baseball, golf and track and field.

High School Athlete of the Week polls

Jaxon Donaldson, Wimberley golf

Donaldson destroyed the Class 4A field, winning his third state title by eight strokes. He also paced the Texans to a second-place finish in the team standings.

Xavier Drumgoole, Round Rock track and field

Drumgoole defended his Class 6A triple jump state title by winning his second straight gold medal at the UIL state track and field meet.

Ryder Melsa, Bowie baseball

Melsa struck out nine and allowed just one hit in 7⅔ scoreless innings in a 1-0 win over Vista Ridge in Game 1 of the Bulldogs' bi-district playoff sweep.

Ridge Morgan, Westwood baseball

Morgan pitched the Warriors into the playoffs by tossing a complete game in a play-in victory over Vandegrift, then had eight strikeouts and an RBI over 6⅓ innings in a Game 2 bi-district victory over Lake Travis to complete that first-round sweep.

Joseph Wienen, Georgetown track and field

Wienen won gold in the 3,200-meter run and bronze in the 1,600 at the Class 5A state track meet.
